About Us

Czech MTB Holidays is a project by two keen mountain bikers from the Czech Republic, Radim and Jan. Both of them have taken their bikes around the world (Utah, Colorado – USA, Tuscany, Livigno, Lago di Garda – Italy, Saalbach, Salzkammergut – Austria, Canary Islands – Spain, many locations in Slovenia, Slovakia etc). Cycling in such places made them realize that:

Mountain biking in the Czech Republic is a lot of fun: There were several trail centers built in the past 10 years and the passion of trail builders is pampering the playground to its best. You’ll fall in love with hundreds of miles of perfect singletrack - somewhere it flows, somewhere it bumps, somewhere it's extremely challenging - but it's always fun!
Mountain biking in the Czech Republic is a craze and the conditions here are great. You can be sure that you’ll enjoy our comfortable conditions for a reasonable price. Cozy apartments, traditionally rich Czech cuisine and world renowned beer!

Jan

Jan Marcanik
Jan (also hears on “Honza”) was riding a bike ever since his childhood. Every stairway or whichever concrete obstacle in the town; roots, banks and various bunny-hops were always an amusing challenge for him. But the real mountain biking passion was ignited with his first full-suspension ride!

Taming a borrowed Merida 96 was so much fun that he immediately plundered his student-account and his brand new full-suspension bike turned into a beloved companion. Not thousands of gravel & tarmac kilometers every month, but thoroughly chosen trails and paths. No tears or pain from superhuman efforts, but joy from riding splendid routes and picturesque landscapes. But if it hurts, no worry, he doesn’t give up easily!

Working in event management he had chance to participate on such projects as UCI MTB World Championships 2016, UCI MTB World Cups in Nove Mesto na Morave (awarded as the best XCO WC venue consecutively 2011-2015 and 2017-2022) or highly rated IBU Biathlon World Cups and World Championship (2012-2015), also held in Nove Mesto na Morave, CZE. He’ll prepare a fabulous singletrack mountain biking week in the Czech Republic!

Radim

Raci
Radim or “Raci” or "Rad-I-am" is a well-experienced MTB guide, who led many MTB tours in famous destinations like Livigno, Lago di Garda, Lagorai, St. Moritz, Davos, Hinterglemm, Salzkammergut or Julian Alps for several Czech travel agencies.

He enjoyed the famous “Slick Rock” trail (Utah, USA) and some legendary trails close to Estes Park and Boulder (Colorado, USA) while working as MTB guide in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.

During the winter he works in ski resort Monte Bondone, close to Trento (ITA), where he enjoys winter sports like skialpinism, cross country skiing, carving and also some fatbiking. It’s a little paradox to enjoy biking on snow, but on nice plains and ridges in times when the snow is setlled this is the best activity to do!

He had the chance of riding famous and riders-proven MTB destinations all around Europe and USA, but since 2017 he’s happily showing our guests the secrets of a little less popular, but amazingly diverse and picturesque MTB paradise in the Czech Republic.
